Police are working to identify a suspect in an armed robbery at a loan store in Kan.

COWLEY COUNTY — Law enforcement authorities are investigating an armed robbery and have released security camera footage of the suspect.

Police were sent to Check Into Cash in the 100 block of West 13th Avenue in Winfield on Monday for a report of an armed robbery, according to a press release.

Officers responded and information was gathered that a man entered the store, brandished a gun, demanded money from employees, and fled the store with an undisclosed sum of money.

Witnesses in the area reported that the suspect left the scene in a silver sport utility vehicle and was last seen heading north on Manning Street.

During the investigation, officers found clothing along Country Club Road in Winfield that was allegedly worn by the suspect during the robbery.

The suspect was described as a white male about six feet tall wearing a blue University of Kansas sweatshirt, black sweatpants, hat, goggles and a surgical-type mask.
