MOQdigital acquires IT consulting firm Dienst Consulting for $ 3.8 million

Perth-based Dienst Consulting was acquired by Australian systems integrator MOQdigital for $ 3.78 million as the latter continues to expand in the West.

After expanding to Western Australia late last year, ASX-listed systems integrator MOQdigital purchased the Perth Dienst-based IT consultancy for nearly $ 3.8 million in cash and stocks. The deal will see 30 professionals added to MOQdigital’s core services practice, including Managing Director Alan Hodson and Dienst’s key leadership team. The company achieved nearly $ 8.5 million in revenue last year.

Founded by Hodson in 2012, Dienst – which takes its name from the Dutch word for “service” – serves mid-to-large customers with mobility, cloud and data solutions, and will bring dozens of current customers to MOQdigital as well. as partnerships with existing suppliers. According to its website, Dienst has completed more than 640 projects for more than 430 customers, and in its 2020 fiscal year before Covid, the company has grown by 37%.

In addition to strengthening its local footprint and providing an additional platform to expand its focus on digital security and cybersecurity services in the Western Australia market, MOQdigital also cited Dienst’s Citrix Platinum Plus Solutions Advisor partnership. as helping to strengthen MOQ’s Modern Workplace practice. The combined business will be overseen by Steve McNally, who was appointed State Director of MOQ Expansion in WA in November of last year.
