City of Fall River Announces Logo Design Contest – Fall River Reporter


In an effort to modernize the Town of Fall River, improve services to residents, and invest in Fall River’s ongoing economic and tourism development efforts, the Town of Fall River has initiated an official website redesign project. of the town of Fall River. The new website – which will be built with Revize, a national leader in municipal website design – should be ready to launch by the end of 2022.

To complement the new website, the City is looking for a new official logo through an open-ended design contest. The public is invited to create and submit their own original ideas for a new logo for the Town of Fall River throughout September, with the 5:00 p.m. deadline. Friday, September 30.

Eligibility is not limited to professional graphic designers and entrants are welcome to submit artwork created digitally or in traditional media, such as paint, pencil, marker, etc. Artists are encouraged to incorporate the unique character and history of Fall River, but should ensure that their design is simple enough to be easily reproduced in black and white, that it is easy to see from a distance, and that it can be translated into more complex formats like embroidery. The winning artist in the design competition will work with the City to modify their entry to meet the many needs of a City logo. The winning artist will receive a $500 prize, sponsored by Mayor Paul Coogan. The winner will also be recognized at an unveiling ceremony for the new website and will receive merchandise bearing the new logo.

The competition will be judged by a panel of residents, artists, city leaders and business owners who have been invited by the Mayor to serve on the website redesign and rebranding advisory committee. The committee will provide feedback during the development of the new website and help select the winning entry for the logo design contest.
