Bungie is celebrating its 30th anniversary right now with a range of commemorative items, but it’s the store page retro splash illustration which really caught our attention. The fake webpage takes fans back not quite 30 years ago, but to the early days of Bungie’s web presence, with a Bungie Store dating back to 1997.
The webpage entices customers to order by fax, phone, mail, or email, with listings of CDs, hats, posters, t-shirts, and Bungie’s iconic ’90s game pack, the Mac Action. Sack (sold for a bargain of $ 777,777.77). Wrapped in a classic 90s web design, the start page is full of cute little Easter eggs for retro gamers.
The current sale unfortunately doesn’t offer the Mac Action Pack, but you can pick up a range of commemorative clothing, a poster, a water bottle, a mug, or a selection of pins.
Destiny 2 players will receive a free 30th anniversary gift from Bungie, when the 30th anniversary pack becomes available. The pack includes a new pirate-themed dungeon, a Thorn-inspired armor set, and more items and cosmetics themed around Bungie and its various titles.
